Brian Zimmerman from Cre843 Wins Honorable Mention for 2008 Charleston Food & Wine Poster Competition

Graphic design artist Brian Zimmerman, President of Charleston-based creative firm Cre843, has been awarded honorable mention for his entry in the second annual Official Poster Competition of BB&T Charleston Food + Wine Festival.

Numerous artists submitted original works for consideration in the design contest of the 2008 Festival Poster. These designs were judged by a panel representing both the culinary and art communities in order to reflect Charleston’s rich culinary history and exciting food scene, while featuring attributes that aptly reflect the festival. All of the artwork was exceptional, and the judges had a very difficult time deciding which one best represented the Festival.  Judges include Melina Smith Monk (Charleston magazine), Laura Hewitt (Charleston Food + Wine Festival Board of Directors), Chef Bob Waggoner (Charleston Grill), Amy Reed (Helium), Jack Alterman (Center for Photography) and Angel Postell (Charleston Food + Wine Festival). Here is Brian’s Poster Design:
