Brian Zimmerman from Cre843 Wins Honorable Mention for 2008 Charleston Food & Wine Poster Competition

Graphic design artist Brian Zimmerman, President of Charleston-based creative firm Cre843, has been awarded honorable mention for his entry in the second annual Official Poster Competition of BB&T Charleston Food + Wine Festival.

Numerous artists submitted original works for consideration in the design contest of the 2008 Festival Poster. These designs were judged by a panel representing both the culinary and art communities in order to reflect Charleston’s rich culinary history and exciting food scene, while featuring attributes that aptly reflect the festival. All of the artwork was exceptional, and the judges had a very difficult time deciding which one best represented the Festival.  Judges include Melina Smith Monk (Charleston magazine), Laura Hewitt (Charleston Food + Wine Festival Board of Directors), Chef Bob Waggoner (Charleston Grill), Amy Reed (Helium), Jack Alterman (Center for Photography) and Angel Postell (Charleston Food + Wine Festival). Here is Brian’s Poster Design:   

Here are some reasons we haven’t updated out blog in a while….

We’ve been busy doing a lot of work here at Cre843. Here is some of our creations:  Event Dynamics Website: A local Event Planning company came to Cre843 for a unique site and here is what we came up with:  ———————————————————————— Karlinski Logos and Websites: A brother and sister pro snowboarding duo needed logos and websites to market themselves, after concepting, here is what we designed (click on logos to view websites):  ———————————————————————— MALABU Newsletter and Logo: The Charleston School of Law, Maritime Law asked us to create and maintain a Newsletter to be sent out four times a year. Here are the first two issues (one has their old logo):   ———————————————————————— OSA Identity, Branding, Print Advertising, Website, and Brochure: Ocean Sailing Academy approached Cre843 to re-brand their organization. They had a new logo and wanted us to develop the rest:    ————————————————————————Pinnacle Sailing Logo and Website: Pinnacle Sailing was formed as a non-profit by local sailors in Charleston to promote sailing on an Olympic Level, and Cre843 was tapped to develop a logo and website with a Blog they could update:     ———————————————————————— The Beach Company Print Ads: The Beach Company is one of our largest clients. They needed some specialty ads for them and some of their properties, here are some we designed:  ———————————————————————— BookSurge/Amazon.com Web Banner Ads: Book Surge, a division of Amazon.com wanted us to develop two sets of pre-sized web banner ads for them to be abls to use around certain sites they wanted to market to:    ————————————————————————Reedsport OPT Logo: Ocean Power Technologies are developing a buoy system that will harness wave energy from the ocean. Cre843 was asked to develop their first “Wave Park” Logo in Reedsport Oregon: 

Charleston Web Design and Graphics Studio Cre843 represented in Vogue

Charleston, SC Web Design, Printing and Graphic Design Studio is represented well in August’s issue of Vogue. La Reve Goes Public…

Cre843 has finalized the Logo and Charleston Wedding Guide Ad for LaReve, a division of Event Dynamics. The logo type was hand drawn which gave it the uniqueness this company deserves. The LaReve mini website will be launched off of the new Event Dynamics site that will go live next week…. Stay Tuned!!

La Reve Logo Concepts…

Event Dynamics, a Charleston event planning company, has asked Cre843 to help develop their company into more developed and recognized brand. We are currently working on their new dynamic website, as well as a full print ad campaign. La Reve is the wedding division of Event Dynamics, and we just finished up some logo concepts, so here’s a sneak peak. We’ll keep you posted on the rest.

Cre843 Adds Photography To Our List Of Services

Cre843 is proud to announce the puchase of a Canon Digital Rebel 8 megapixel camera. This will allow us to offer custom photography to our clients at a fraction of the cost to hire a professional photographer. Brian and Cary both have schooling in film and digital photography, and paired with our photoshop expertise we can produce some amazing shots. Brian went to Folly Beach during lunch today and shot these images below quickly. Check em’ out!!
